Why: They came in the mail in five different color combinations, mostly various shades of pink. and since no note was attached explaining the significance, we found our own. Valerie and Susanna (their mom) used to run together often in Prospect park. And do Yoga together too. The Nike swoosh reminds Susanna of running and Brooklyn (both of which she misses a lot) and makes the girls look cool. Not to mention that the Nike motto, "Just do it" has been Susanna's mantra since the girls were born.
